Deepdub Moves AI Localization into Studio-Scale QC and Orchestration

IBC 2026 · Technical Presentation

What happened

Deepdub presented an expansion of its AI dubbing workflow from a single AI co-worker into an orchestration layer that can manage segment-, character-, track- and title-level decisions across thousands of localized assets, with automated QC built into export and delivery. Linguistic and creative teams remain in control while automation handles structured repetitive work. IBC describes it as aimed at Hollywood-studio and streaming-scale localization.

Why it matters

Localization is one of the clearest places AI can create real production leverage without pretending to replace filmmaking. QA, timing, versioning, language consistency and delivery become enormous problems once a show ships into dozens of territories.

Antique Robots take

This is the part of AI that may quietly matter more than synthetic filmmaking. Nobody needs a model deciding whether a performance works. Having software manage thousands of dialogue segments, catch technical problems and prepare versions while actual directors, actors and language teams make the creative calls? That is useful automation. Remove labor from the repetition — not judgment from the work.
